The Handi App is a free mobile app which provides expert advice to parents, carers and health care professionals on common childhood illnesses.


 The six most common childhood illnesses covered in the HANDi App:

  1. Diarrhoea (Gastroenteritis)
  2. Chesty Baby (Bronchiolitis)
  3. Chesty Child (Wheeze and Asthma)
  4. High temperature
  5. Abdominal Pain
  6. Common newborn problems

How to download the HANDi App:

  1. Visit the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Search for 'Handi / Handi Paediatric' and download for free
  3. Open the app and select your local area: click on the Royal United Hospital, Bath NHS Foundation Trust logo
  4. Select who you are – if you are a parent/carer, or healthcare professional
  5. Choose the condition the child is suffering from the list of six illnesses displayed
  6. Answer questions on the condition
