We are in the process of contacting our patients about switching your metered dose inhaler (MDI) to a dry powder version to try to reduce the environmental impact. Prescribing low-carbon alternative dry-powder inhalers (DPIs), instead of “spray” metered-dose inhalers (MDIs), has enormous potential to reduce general practice’s carbon footprint. These switches should not have a negative impact on your asthma control. You do not have to do anything.
