Salaried GP (4-6 sessions)

Due to expansion, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a salaried GP to join our experienced and supportive team.

  • A range of clinical support staff including an experienced Nurse Team, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Paramedics, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists.
  • Training practice with two educational supervisors.
  • Retainer or Fellowship GP applicants considered.
  • Active part of the strong and cohesive Chippenham, Corsham and Box Primary Care Network (PCN) circa 60,000 patients.
  • Expanding PCN employed staff, currently including First Contact Physiotherapists, a Clinical Pharmacy team and a Living Well Team including Social Prescribers, Physician Associates and Care Coordinators.
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience.

Our purpose-built practice is in the beautiful town of Corsham, 9 miles from the City of Bath, on the edge of the Cotswolds, with easy access to the M4.

Trainee Nurse Associate (TNA) for Chippenham, Corsham and Box Primary Care Network

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Chippenham, Corsham and Box Primary Care Network for a Trainee Nurse Associate (TNA). We are looking for a full time TNA to join our growing team working across our network of 5 GP surgeries.

Salary £21,842.64 per annum (depending on experience)

About us

Formed in 2019, Chippenham, Corsham and Box PCN is an enthusiastic, dynamic, and friendly PCN made up of 5 GP surgeries, serving 61,000 patients.  We are constantly striving to improve patient pathways and health care outcomes and we are developing innovative ways of working more closely together.  As our PCN grows, we will be employing more professionals listed in the PCN Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme in the coming months and years. 

Job responsibilities

This is a combined role working in accordance with specific PCN guidelines and protocols. The Trainee Nurse Associate will assist the clinical team in provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. The TNA will also attend a 2-year university course, involving placements, in order to become a qualified Nurse Associate.

Job Responsibilities may include:

Clinical:

  • New patient health checks
  • BP monitoring
  • Urinalysis
  • Phlebotomy
  • Basic wound care
  • Administering flu, shingles, and B12 injections
  • Assist the childhood and adolescent immunisations maintaining any Child Health and Practice records
  • Weight monitoring
  • Restocking/maintenance of equipment
  • ECG Recording
  • Spirometry and peak flow management
  • Smoking cessation
  • Chaperoning duties
  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients’ health and well-being
  • Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
  • Support the team in the implementation of service specifications for IIF and other local initiatives
